110. A Conversation with Award-Winning Actress KARYME LOZANO – HeavenQuest: A Pilgrim’s Progress

Considered by many as one of the greatest actresses in Latin America, Karyme Lozano has starred in hugely successful soap operas (Telenovelas) that have aired in numerous countries on every continent contributing to a fan base of millions world-wide. Karyme is the only star simultaneously featured in a lead role in two prime-time soaps, El Manantial, and Niña Amada Mía, a unique event in Univision history.

In addition to her numerous lead roles in Telenovelas, Karyme has found equal success on stage and big screen, starring in Spanish versions of musicals Anastasia, Cinderella, and Grease on stage, and for her co-starring old in the epic film For Greater Glory alongside Andy Garcia. On top of her many awards and recognitions for TV and theater, (Pal Palmas de Oro, TVY Novelas, Eres, Telequia, etc.), Karyme was honored for her lead film role in Desnudos earned her a nomination to an Ariel Award, Mexico’s equivalent to the Oscars.

Karyme is equally talented as a writer/director and recently wrote, directed & produced a short film called “The True Meaning of Love,” a reflection of a dying woman’s choice made when she was young and the consequences of her decision.

Today Karyme joins us to discuss her incredible career as well as her role as “The Interpreter” in the recent film HEAVENQUEST: A Pilgrim’s Progress. HEAVENQUEST is out now and was named on the 12 best Christian movies of 2019.


A new take on the classic story from John Bunyan. A regal man named Vangel is thrust on a journey against his will when he is suddenly and mysteriously arrested. Injured and lost after escaping the dark king’s men, Vangel begins to have strange dreams and visions of a mysterious woman in white calling him from the unknown territory of the North. Armed with a book called “The Record of the Ancients” that he receives from a wise sage named Elder, Vangel embarks on an adventure that takes him through treacherous mountain range, unending deserts, the Lake of Doubts, and the Forest of No Return. Along the way, travel companions share about a fabled good king and his son in the North if he can make it there alive.
